Your Best Working Hours Determine Your Productivity - Are You a Morning Or Evening Person?

Not all times of the day are equal in terms of productivity. Some of us work better early in the morning, some work better in the afternoon, and still others are like night owls, working best in the evenings and late nights.

Scheduling your most important things at the time that you work best, can cut down your time spent and seem to shorten your day. Although scheduling may be considered to be limiting your options, it is in my opinion the best tool we have to eliminate wasted time and focus on a particular task.

If you analyze your work hours and the amount of work you get done in the various time slots, for example, early morning, mid to late morning, after lunch, mid to late afternoon, evening time, or late at night. By looking at my own hours and the amount of work done is each slot, I determined that my most effective hours are late at night, when I am able to squeeze out more work in the few hours then than throughout the whole of the work day.

Your best working hours will of course be different. You might be a morning person or an afternoon person. Whatever the case may be, do plan your schedules accordingly to best utilize your strengths.

What do you do with the rest of the day? Does it mean you just ignore all your non-productive hours? Nope, it just means that you schedule you other tasks, those that do not need your best and utmost concentration to do.

Make sure to keep your sharper and more productive hours for that tasks that need your focus and attention. If you are sharper, things will generally get done faster and the output that you produce will be of better quality as well.
